Introducing Delaynote

The launch of delaynote is here! We have been working hard over the last few months to start letting people in.

The idea behind delaynote started in December 2022 when I was trying to find ways to promote my music. It was clear that Spotify playlists are a goldmine for new listeners. With this in mind, I started looking for playlists in my genre that were looking for submissions.

Trying to find how to submit to Spotify playlists was tough. Some playlists had an email in the description, but I soon found it to be very time-consuming and not something I wanted to spend hours on in my busy schedule.

My old playlist submission process:

  1. Look for playlists on Spotify that had emails to submit.
  2. Their desktop app at least doesn't let you copy/paste text, so I had to manually type out the email from the view.
  3. Create a draft in Google mail with a template I wanted to send to curators.
  4. Make sure the email was right and drop in the links to my track. Slightly modify it to include the curator's name etc.
  5. Repeat multiple times 😪

While this process may not seem too strenuous, when you are searching and manually filling in details, it can get tiring pretty quickly.

I started looking at other options. Submithub, is great, and I still recommend checking that platform out, but I wanted a way to tap into the vast library of curators that are looking for submissions.

Delaynote Genres

Spotify has a great API and I decided to see what I could come up with to gather playlists to submit to. Fast forward a couple of months, and delaynote was born. (Fun fact, I've been sitting on the domain for around 6 years, waiting to figure out what I want to do with it).

My new playlist submission process that you can do too:

  1. Login into delaynote.com
  2. Set up an email template with reusable tags.
  3. View playlists by genre and featured - automatically added every week.
  4. Click submit and sit back as your submission is sent out.
  5. Profit 📈

How does it work?

The system fetches Spotify playlists every week for curators who are looking for email submissions. Joining delaynote will give instant access to thousands of playlists. Over time, this will continue to grow.

Songs are imported with one click via Spotify so you have links ready to go for each track.

Delaynote Email

You can create reusable email templates so they look great and stand out from the rest when sending to curators. Alternatively, you can simply email them manually.

There is also a submission tracking feature to help stay focussed and prevent duplicate entries.

Sounds good, can I join?

We have a temporary waiting list at the moment while we get things ready and tested. Head on over to the homepage to sign up. You will be emailed when we are ready to go.

There is also a special early access launch price of $49 for your first year if you use coupon 49LAUNCH.

Thanks

We look forward to launching fully soon! Come show some love on our Discord in the meantime.

Thanks, Scott
